1st Experience with Snow!

Today was a gorgeous day!  It's the middle of winter, but it was absolutely beautiful...and almost warm.

There was no wind and lots of sunshine.  It was the perfect day to spend some time outside in the snow.

And that is exactly what we did this afternoon.

This was the 1st actual day Aubri experienced the snow in her coat, snowpants, hat & mittens.  Where she could walk all over in it, jump in it, sit in it, lay in it.  She LOVED it!  And...the snow was perfect snowman making snow.

She had so much fun, it was great watching her enjoy the snow so much!  I'm so glad we waited for this most perfect day.

Drabby week...

This week has been kind of a drag.  It started off with me not feeling well; tired and run down...thank goodness I had Monday off as a holiday.  But then Tuesday was no better, I called in sick to work and went to the doctor.  Found out I have pink eye and the beginning of a cold.  So with sickness and still having to take care of myself, our daughter, and some cleaning, I'm happy to see the end of the week.  Although there's probably not much more rest in my weekend because Trevor will be here and Trace has to work all weekend, it will be nice to just be home and focus on family!

I am feeling better and my eye is looking much better!  The drops seem to be doing their job.  Oh, and the best thing about all of this is that Trace has been feeling pretty good besides being a little run down, and Aubri has been completely healthy!

I am anxious to get better and feel completely well again because we have a big week fast approaching!!  Next Monday, we finally start our basement renovation and I.am.pumped!  I have been dreaming of finishing the basement into a toy room for a very long time and it's getting very close to being completed.  Yeah!  More on that later, along with before, during, and after pictures!

Lip Gloss Queen!

Not only is Aubri a "dancing queen", she is also the queen of make-up, especially anything that goes on the lips!  We have to keep my bathroom door shut at all times unless we wanna risk her coming down with a face full of makeup and a head of hair all done up with nothing but pounds of hair spray.

Well, she managed to sneak up one day that it was OPEN...and this is how I found her, running aimlessly from me anywhere she could get before I got ahold of her!

 She's happy about it and thinks it looks perfectly perfect!

Let's make Hearts!

Yesterday I was blessed to "have" to stay home with my daughter. 

Snow + icky roads = NO Work!!

This was my long weekend so I was home Monday too.  It was very nice.

Anyway, Aubri & I decided to make some hearts to get into the mood for Valentine's Day.  I cut out pink and white hearts and she colored them, decorated them with colored sugar and sprinkles, stickers, and mini tinfoil cupcake holders that I cut little hearts out of.  She had fun and our front window looks festive again...this time with LOVE!

Aubri got this towel for her birthday and she loves it!  She also has a bunny one and she loves being "Mommy's little froggie or Mommy's little bunny."

Christmas in January!

This past weekend was a very busy one.  Trevor was here.  Friday night. as you already saw, was Monster Truck Jam.  Saturday was full of opening Christmas presents, playing, napping, and meeting friends at Joe's Crab Shack for supper followed by a trip to Jordan Creek Mall for some playing and Hot Cocoa/Coffee afterwards.  Whoo....I'm exhausted just typing that much.

Alright, then Sunday was church followed by a lunch date with dear friends!

All in all, the weekend was fantastic, filled with tons of fun and laughter.
