Wow...I'm Way Behind!

I had been doing so well for quite some time, posting daily or at least every other day, and some days multiple posts. I've slipped. It's been like a week since I've done a post and I don't like that so I decided to get back to it and at least do a small one tonight. Our house and lives have been very busy and crazy lately. Last weekend was wonderful with Trevor; we had a garage sale in Ankeny with Grandma Joan and a friend and got rid of a lot of stuff, making some fun money! Trace & I decided to gut our spare bedroom and re-do it with new everything...trim, paint, ceilings, closet doors, carpet, decor, you name it. So, they money I made at the garage sale will go towards those expenses!

I never posted about some AMAZING news we got on June 22nd, it was such a busy, exciting day...I could kick myself. Anyway...we had an appointment that morning with Trace's radiation doctor regarding results from his PET Scan the Friday before. I'll just cut to the chase! It was 100% clear...NO CANCER! Hallelujah, Praise the Lord!! We were and have been ever since ecstatic and so grateful to our loving and faithful Father. Thank you, Jesus!

With that, things have just been busy and active, going here and there and everywhere, enjoying life!

Pure Joy

It's hard to get a good picture with Aubri's full attention!

A Day of Complete Relief and Happiness!!

Phillippe joined us to bring an awesome day to an end! We all toasted with a small taste of whiskey to celebrate!

Yes, I even had some...surprise, surprise! I wasn't going to pass up this opportunity to toast such great news! It was actually very smooth, although not something I would want regularly. I DO NOT like this picture of me at all, it was late and I look awful, but it's the only one I had of this event with my hubby!!

A Couple Of Miscellaneous Pictures From The Day:

Aubri loves the motorcycle! She enjoys going for rides up the driveway. She never misses a motorcycle passing by on the road either!

It was time for 18 month pictures...it's been since 1 year that I've had pictures done. I decided rather than taking her somewhere and paying them to take her pictures, I would give it a try. I had some more ideas in mind and was planning to get more pictures, but had to call it quits for 2 reasons:

1 - It was stinkin HOT

2 - My batteries died!

Aubri's First Tattoo

While we were shopping at the Barn for Father's Day gifts, we were able to snag a free Harley tattoo. She thought this was pretty neat and wore it proudly. She showed everyone and when someone would ask her where her tat was she knew just where to look.

She would bend her little arm around just like this when showing off her tattoo!
I think tattoo's will be something we do more often. I'll have to look for some girly ones for her.

Happy Father's Day

We actually celebrated Father's Day with Daddy on Saturday night at 8:00 p.m. Trace had to work 7a-7p on Sunday so we decided to do gifts early. Aubri got to stay up late and we had a fun evening all together.
Aubri did a nice job drawing on Daddy's envelope and card.

"In the whole wide world, there could only be...

...one special daddy for a little girl like me!

And that special daddy is YOU!

Aubri gave Daddy a laminated collage of photos of her for him to hang on his locker at work!

We love you Daddy, you're the BEST!! Happy Father's Day

Weekend Photos

It was another great weekend...except for the fact that I was On Call and Trace worked all of it. Trace worked late Friday night and then had to be back to work the next morning and a 12-hour shift on Sunday so Aubri, Ellie, and I decided to spend Friday night in Elkhart. I have been wanting to hit some garage sales and just haven't had much of an opportunity yet this year so I figured if I were in Elkhart, I could get up bright and early, leave Aubriana with Grandma and spend Saturday morning in Ankeny all alone "shopping".

Aubri decided to stay up late and be silly on Friday night!

She was so full of joy and laughter!

So...that's exactly what I did, although the sales weren't that great. I did find some Elmo stuff, whom Aubri is goo goo over just recently. It's rather adorable actually and gives me new things to shop for. I also found her some clothes and toys and picked up a few things for the house. It was fun and nice to have a little "me" time. I'm looking forward to doing some more next weekend too when we're also having our own sale in Ankeny.

This is a picture of Aubri's new outfite Daddy bought her when they went shopping last Thursday. He actually bought a purple pair of capris to match the shirt, but it was too hot this day for anything but shorts! This little girl loves to shop.

Back to the Weekend Photos...

She had 1 Elmo and got 2 new ones this weekend to add to her collection!

Aubri loves, loves, loves to do somersaults, dance, etc. I think she's going to be a little gymnast and dancer. I can't wait til she gets old enough to get into some classes. She just can't get enough of it. She's also started doing some back flips...with lots of my help of course! she puts her head backwards and puts her hands down on the floor while I flip her over. In helping her do any of these: somersaults, splits, backflips, etc. all you hear is "more", "more", "more"!

These pictures don't show it, but she can get almost all the way down with her bottom touching the floor and lets out both ways. She's very flexible! She also thinks it's pretty cool that Elmo can do the splits and somersaults with her!!

"Oh No"

Umm...smell the beautiful flowers

I bought Aubri some new sandals...her feet are growing so fast!

She crawled right into the driver's seat to drive. She & Ellie were ready to head home.

The scary and sad thought is that in no time at all she really will be in the driver's seat cruising all over. Sooner than we know it, our baby won't be a baby anymore, but will be 16 with a driver's license.

We don't take a moment for granted because time goes by so fast. We cherish each one.

Toss Me, Twist Me, Upside Down Me

Aubriana's favorite type of play with Daddy is being tossed around, up in the air, upside down, etc. The crazier, the better with her! She has no fear and is a little on the w i l d side! She laughs and smiles and giggles and says "More", "more", "more". She never gets too much of this kind of play.

It was challenging capturing pictures, but I managed to get a few that turned out without being too blurry.

Let the Fun Begin!

Weee.....this is great!

Daddy holds her over his head behind the couch right side up, backwards, and upside down!

She loves it.

She also thought it was quite amusing to stomp his face and listen to us all chuckle!

She was upside down here and I was on the floor underneath her to get the photo!

She Loves Her Daddy!!

Fun in the Sun...Part 2

Saturday:

Weekends with Trevor are always fun. He & Aubri have the best time hangin out and playing together. They make each other so happy...most of the time and enjoy each other's company...most of the time! It's fun to watch them interact together and see the love. Aubri is constantly attacking him with hugs and kisses. I think (know) they both look forward to their weekends together.

Trevor, Aubri, and I had a lot of fun around the house on Saturday. Trace had to leave for work at 10:00 a.m. so we were without him all day until Midnight. So...we did a lot of playing inside, took a nap, and did a lot of playing outside.

Ahh...these two are so sweet!

Trevor's new shirt from my parents from their cruise in May!

Trevor pretending he's "sleeping"

Aubri is checking him to make sure he is ok!

A kiss always wakes 'em up.

Outside snack time...cheese & crackers

"All Done"

Licorice...YUM

I was tying knots in it for Trevor...He thought that was pretty neat.

Take note of that cute little tongue!

The Happy Pair!

The kids got a new outdoor game at Target...Horse Shoes!

Trevor did really well. He got the hang of it rather quickly and was ringin 'em.

Aubri enjoyed gathering them and running away .

Aubri in action!

A toad that Trevor found in the back yard.

He was captivated by this cute, disgusting, little toad...

... and followed him around for a very long time, protecting him!

New pajamas - Thanks, Grandma Kendig!

Little Miss Independence...that's Aubri alright!

"Over The Hedge"

This is their new favorite spot to sit while watching movies!
