Still More Christmas 2011

Christmas with Grammy Baker & Stacey!

Grammy & Stacey were able to travel to Iowa the first week in January to celebrate Christmas.  Thanks to a mild winter and clear roads their trip was possible.  They spent a few days here with us in our new home in Windsor before we headed to Ft. Dodge & Emmetsburg for a week to celebrate with my Grandma & my brother and his family.

Grammy came bearing gifts for all of us from Nicaragua.
She went there on a Mission Trip right before Christmas!

I'm excited for the warm weather to arrive so she can wear this adorable outfit!

Aubri & I were blessed to be able to join my mom & sister for a week up North visiting family.  Our first stop was Ft. Dodge to see Nannie, my mom's mom.  We also got to visit Aunt Sharon, and cousins, Stacey, Kathy & Greg & Nathan.  It was so nice to spend time with everyone, especially Nannie.  She is definately aging and her Alzheimer's is getting worse and worse.  It's very sad to see someone's mind slipping away like hers is doing.  It can be very irritating, but I treasure every moment left with her.

We stayed in Ft. Dodge overnight then headed further north to Emmetsburg where my brother, Jayme and Missy just bought their first house.  They invited us there to celebrate Christmas.

Every year the kids look forward to their Santa heads that my mom makes & fills with toys.  Little by little they unwrap the streamers that form the head finding little toys as they go.  It's a favorite for all!

More tumbling going on here!
We broke out this game one evening and had a total blast!  Lots of fun & laughter.

It was wonderful spending a week with family up North.  It's not very often that we are able to get together so this was a special time for all of us.  I enjoyed is thoroughly (except for the flu that we brought back with us) and am grateful I was on my long vacation, which enabled me to go along!

When we returned back to Windsor, we picked up Trevor and he got to open his Santa head!

My mom & sister headed back to Arkansas the next day.  We had an awesome time together and we are already excited for and looking forward to next time!
