Myrtle Beach

The perfect way to kick off our summer, we decided, was a family trip to Myrtle Beach with Grandma Joan!!  She won (purchased) the trip at Bras for the Cause Gala in October through the Live Auction and we were lucky enough to be asked to join her!  It took little (none) thought on our part to graciously accept.
Andrew drove us to the airport to catch our early flight!
It was a very early morning so baby was fast asleep!
Us going through the airport.
It's been a long day of traveling and these kiddos are tired.
We flew into Charlotte, NC then got a rental car and drove to South Carolina.

Happy, Happy, Happy
Super excited to be at our destination.

Grandma Joanie takes it all in!!
Everyone needs chocolate!
Daddy & Aubri make their way down to the beach for the first time on the trip!

They wave from afar.
Then head for the water.

There were different and large kites flying all week long.
Check out the kite owner working so hard to keep it soaring!

Discussing the scenery?
I thought this kite was pretty cool!
This was his bed for the week...coffee table in the corner hurled with lots and lots of soft blankets to serve as padding!  He was comfortable and slept well all week.

Joan's very 1st time ever to the ocean!
Time for a dip.
Aubri is happy to join Grandma and show her into the ocean.

Love the feel of my toes in the sand and water!
That's our beach front condo.

Silly girls!

Mommy's turn.

Trace watches from our balcony.
Oops...the waves swept Grandma right off her feet!

Aubri spent most of the time in the pool rather than the ocean!
This girl would swim for hours every day.
Just chillin pool-side with my bottle.

There's a couple of ducks at our table.
Love this sweet little girl!
Aubri really wanted to go to this pirate restaurant because of the LIVE Mermaids!
Meeting the Mermaids.
She received a necklace from them!

My silly cuckooed husband wearing baby's hat!
Blessings
She's always ready for water!

Just loungin in the pool!
Our sweet, sweet little boy...

Bomb Pops baby!

A night out on the town.
Prepare to jump, flip, bounce and have fun!

We just had to eat here in memory of Grandpa Sam.
This is his kind of place!! 5 cent coffee...WHAT?!

My fried bologna sandwich!

We broke out the cards for some games of Pay Me (I think)!
Quick story:  The 3 of us were playing cards, kiddos were sound asleep in bed, and we were having a hoot of a time, laughing it up!  Suddenly, there was pounding on our door with a man yelling "OPEN THE DOOR".  With no hesitation, Trace jumps up to go assess the situation while Joan & I hunch at the table, a little nervous about who's on the other side of the thin door.

The pounding and yelling continues until Trace quickly pulls the door open and fills the frame with his broad shoulders and muscular stature...the loud threat on the outside grasps for his breath and sinks into the fetal position at his first glance of Trace standing in the doorway and quickly begins apologizing over and over, scared for his life!

It was too funny - someone who drank a little too much and got off the elevator a floor too soon!!!
The girls went miniature golfing while baby slept and Daddy read!

Grandma & Aubri

I got a Hole-in-1!!!

In concentration mode to get the ball over the stream through the narrow opening.
She did it!  Mommy, however, was unsuccessful.

Our balls!

Trying "Puffs" for the 1st time.  Wasn't sure what to do with them.

Loves playing with the swim rings.  They make him happy!

Our room.

Our transportation for the week.

How dare that duck think he can swim in the pool.

Just getting a few beach shots!
First time in the sand!
Ahh...aren't they just precious?!
Aubri with a pirate at the Pirates Voyage.
Sippin on a tasty pre-show drink!

Clappin along to the music!
What a great vacation!

Food was delicious.

Kiddos loved the show!
Our waitress.

We spent time in the pool daily!

Our home for the week.

Our sweet blessings!

Thank you Jesus for fun and safety!!!!!
