Since April 16, 2014, we sincerely hoped this day would come, but only if it was the will of our Lord and Savior. We are so very thankful He found favor in us and chose our family to be blessed with you. Samuel, you make our home so happy and our hearts so full. You are amazing and perfect in every way.
I pushed and pushed and worked very hard, and made lots of phone calls, and made trips back and forth to offices with paperwork, and prayed, prayed, prayed...a LOT! We wanted the privilege of knowing you were officially a "Kendig" before the end of 2014...You're all I wanted for Christmas!!!
Praise God! It happened. This very special day had come...December 19, 2014.
We chose your name to be Samuel because of a few significant reasons. One, your Grandpa you never got to meet because a year ago, he went to be with Jesus after losing his battle to Leukemia, was named Samuel. Grandpa Sam would have loved you more than you could ever imagine and he would be doting on you daily, missing zero chances to visit you and spend time with you. Two, the name Samuel was the next name to be used to keep the name line going in the Kendig family. You see, your daddy's grandpa was named Grandpa Tracy, then is was your grandpa, Grandpa Samuel, next came your daddy, Tracy (Trace), and now there's YOU...Samuel!
This day will forever be shining brightly in our hearts! We love you so much.
