Busy Weekend-Part 1-Relay for Life

Our weekend was full and busy! After being couped up in the house for 3 1/2 days, it was nice to get out and enjoy some sunshine...we got plenty of that by the end of the weekend.

Friday morning, Aubri was still not feeling the best and just wanted to sleep. So, we stayed in all day again for the 4th day. She was still running fevers, but not as high. She was exhausted from fighting this sickness and was peaceful just being able to rest...she really enjoyed the time she got to spend in mommy & daddy's bed!!

Trace took my Stacey out for the day to celebrate her 18th Birthday. They went to Star Buck's, the Art Store, Hobby Lobby, and the Mall. They ate lunch at Tumea's, an exquisite Italian restaurant and had a great day together.

That evening after my family left to go to Fort Dodge overnight, Trace & I decided to take Aubri with us to the Relay for Life event at Hoover High School. We are so glad we did! It was a really fun night and Aubri was so happy to be out of the house. She did great and had a fun time.

This is Dr. Demming, Trace's radiation oncologist. He loves Aubri and Aubri loves him! He's such a neat guy and a great doctor. He's very involved with a number of events, which is very cool.

Hector, a friend who works with Trace. Aubri reached for him and was very content staying with him for quite a while. This is not typical of her, but tonight this is what she wanted!

These are dear friends of ours from church in Ankeny. We were always very close and spent a lot of time together. Distance and busy lives have separated us a little now, but they are still treasured and we get together when we all can. They were very instrumental in our lives back in the day!
