That evening after my family left to go to Fort Dodge overnight, Trace & I decided to take Aubri with us to the Relay for Life event at Hoover High School. We are so glad we did! It was a really fun night and Aubri was so happy to be out of the house. She did great and had a fun time.

Aubri and her favorite water bottle
Waiting for the opening ceremony to begin.
This is Dr. Demming, Trace's radiation oncologist. He loves Aubri and Aubri loves him! He's such a neat guy and a great doctor. He's very involved with a number of events, which is very cool.
Hector, a friend who works with Trace. Aubri reached for him and was very content staying with him for quite a while. This is not typical of her, but tonight this is what she wanted!
Each team walking a lap around the track and stopping to get pictures taken. The second lap was for Survivors and the next was survivors and their caretakers.

Todd, Eric, Jamie
These are dear friends of ours from church in Ankeny. We were always very close and spent a lot of time together. Distance and busy lives have separated us a little now, but they are still treasured and we get together when we all can. They were very instrumental in our lives back in the day!

Family shot! Plus, one tired baby.
We took another lap with her in the stroller in hopes she would zonk out!
Then a lap in daddy's arms!
It was a wonderful evening filled with friends, laughter, smiles, food, prizes, and hope!!
