We kicked off the summer with a gymnastics program for Aubri at Chow's Gymnastics in West Des Moines, home of Gold Medalist's, Shawn Johnson and Gabby Douglas!
She went every Monday morning and absolutely loved every minute of it. So much so that she's continued on and is now part of the Kindergarten class through the school year. It's so fun to watch her week after week and see improvements. She is a natural and is very strong so does a really nice job. Another fabulous thing is that she is in a class with just one other child so she gets a lot of attention. The class sizes are normally six children, but for whatever reason, hers is a total of two so far. I'm not complaining!
I love that it's more than just front rolls and stretching and cart wheels. They introduce them to all of the equipment at the youngest age and it's great! She loves the rings and the bars. Oh, and the balance beam too. She's got phenomenal balance, which is extremely helpful.
Aubri is such a talented, athletic little girl. She loves to be active. She loves flipping. She loves cart wheeling. She loves performing. This is a great sport for her right now and hopefully long term! We'll see.
