Saturday night my husband and I enjoyed a lovely date night with my boss, her husband and other co-workers at an annual fundraiser event for the Iowa Coalition Against Domestic Violence. ICADV seeks to engage all people in a movement to change the social and political systems that perpetuate violence against women. This is done though education, advocacy and quality victim services.
ICADV's vision for the future is simple: Every woman will be safe in her own home. No woman will fear the ones she loves. Women and their children will be treated with dignity and respect. Communities will support healthy relationships and healthy sexuality.
The evening consisted of food, drink, music, and fundraising. There were Silent Auctions throughout the evening as well as a Live Auction towards the end. Trace & I were high bidders on an awesome package during the Silent Auction.
It includes: An Overnight Stay in a King Guestroom at the Renaissance Des Moines Savery Hotel downtown, Breakfast Buffet for 2 in BOS, $75.00 Gift Certificate to 801 Grand Chop House, 2 Tickets to the Nutcracker at Hoyt Sherman Place, and a Bottle of Wine.
We are very excited to enjoy all of this!
The evening was great and we all had a lot of fun together. It's nice to do things together outside of work once in awhile where we can relax and enjoy each others company without the stress.

I'm disappointed I didn't get a full length view of my dress. It went to the floor and poofed out at the bottom all the way around with the help of tool or whatever it's called.
