Last week was busy with different BBQ's in our backyard. I don't have pictures of them all or a whole lot to say except that we enjoyed some great time with a number of friends and devoured some delicious grub!
Monday for Memorial Day, we invited Grandma & Papa Kendig over for the afternoon then had Stacey, a good friend from the Everest Trip and Doc Rinehart join us for the evening. Stacey lives in Colorado and was home visiting family for the weekend so it worked out perfectly that we were able to grab her for a little bit too. She was Trace's favorite on the trip...very sweet, real, down to earth type of girl. It was fun to catch up and visit and get to know each other even better. The funniest thing was Aubri! When she doesn't know someone great yet, she refers to them as boy (if they're a boy) or guy (if they're a grown up boy), etc. for females. She hadn't spent a lot of time around Dr. Rinehart until tonight, her favorite as you know is Dr. Deming. So, without Dr. Deming around, she decided to get to know Rick (Rinehart). She talked nonstop to him, bringing him toys, showing him things, pointing at things for him to look, and so on, all the time saying "Come on Guy, let's do this Guy, hey Guy"...you get the picture! It was adorable.
Wednesday night we had some other friends over from the trip - Chad & Lynnette and their little boy, Parker. Aubri adores Parker and was so excited to actually have him at her house. He is so sweet and so good with Aubri. They played, danced, and hunted for lightning bugs!
