The last week of May was very eventful, to say the least. Our life was full of ups & downs, visitors & stayers, and fun & emotions.
A high point was that my mom & sister got to come to Iowa, but not so much for pleasure, rather work related to a very difficult situation. My mom's mom, my Nannie, had to go into a nursing home just a week prior so my mom needed to be here to help deal with everything that was going on around this, including paperwork, packing up Nannie's apartment, and actually moving her from one nursing home to another, which was much more pleasant and more apartment feeling than the first. In fact, they were able to take her living room furniture, bedroom furniture and personal items to decorate. The first home was one room that was shared with anoher client.
We all knew this was coming eventually, but had hopes of it happening a lot less quickly than it did. The up side is that now we know that she is safe and being properly taken care of on a regular basis. My Nannie has pretty severe Alzheimer's and she really isn't safe being alone.
My mom was very busy in Ft. Dodge for the week after getting to our house and staying a night before heading north. Stacey was bored the majority of the week and when my mom got word from work that she could take another week, Stacey asked to spend it with us!
We enjoyed the night with Grammy & Aunt Stacey.
