Last night we went to the Polar Express at the Boone Scenic Railroad with some great friends. We boarded the train at the Boone Depot and took a ride to the North Pole! We listened to the book, Polar Express, on the way and once we arrived, we were served hot (chilly) cocoa and cookies! Santa also made an appearance and gave each of the children their very own silver bell. On the ride back we sang lots of Christmas carols. It was a fun experience. Aubriana enjoyed parts of it, but was somewhat fussy as well. She was not feeling well, we learned today, her ear infection is back so she is on stronger antibiotics. Overall, she did well and the jingle bell was her favorite! Afterwards, a group of us went to Hickory Park in Ames for a late supper and stuffed ourselves...it was delicious - Yummy!
