Aubri's new Christmas Day outfit!
Good Morning Christmas Day! We started off the morning sifting through our stockings. Every year Trace and I fill one another's stocking with goodies and now we also do one for each of the kid's and also for Ellie. Trace always fills my stocking with great stuff; this year was candy, candles, soap, water bottle, chap stick, and the new Juicy Couture Perfume...Viva La Juicy! Mmm, mmm, it smells wonderful.

And...a new book. She also got new pink pacifiers to chew on and cereal bars.
Trace got coffee, $1.00 bottles of cologne (3), gum, beef jerky, Burt's Bees, and Razzles!Later that morning, Trace and Sam took off in the storm to go pick up his sister, Sarah, and Grandma Alice. Joan cooked up a great meal of pot roast, carrots, potatoes, ham, and broccoli. There was more than enough to eat with the huge meal and all of the snacks, dips, and Christmas candy. We enjoyed opening presents together followed by a game of "Pay Me" before Sarah and Grandma Alice had to go home.

Christmas Day was really nice, we all had a lot of fun together. We decided to stay over another night since the roads were still icky, it was dark out, getting later, and we're getting Trevor tomorrow so figured instead of going home then coming back with him, we'd just stay. However, Trace was voting to go home so he could get a good night's sleep in his own bed. He signed up to work an off-duty shift at a bank in Windsor so he had to be up at 6am to get ready and make it there by 8. By morning I wished I would have listened to him and just went home Christmas evening. Ellie was itching and scratching constantly all day and through the night. Aubri decided to wake up a little before 2:00 a.m. and stay awake until 5:00 a.m. I rocked and rocked and rocked her, with no luck...still wide awake. Then, a few times she was out and I laid her down and...boom...up and crawling around giggling. I'm not sure what her deal was, but being awake for 3 hours in the middle of the night was not my kind of party. I was frustrated and tired and just wanted her to go to sleep. Finally she did and I fell asleep on the floor beside her for awhile. Needless to say, Trace got to tell me, "Hate to say I told ya so, but..."
The Day After Christmas
The next day, I went to pick up Trevor at Noon and brought him back to Elkhart. We ate lunch and then he got to open his presents from Sam & Joan. We visited and played for a short time before calling it a day and heading home to Adel.

First things first when we got to Adel...NAP time, then more Christmas. Trevor and Aubriana still had more gifts from Trace and I to open, plus we all had gifts from my family to open.

Last year my mom started making Santa heads out of crate paper, filled with a variety of candy and little toys, chapstick, socks, etc. for the grandkids. Sunday morning, Trevor and Aubriana got to tear into theirs, rolling and rolling as more and more goodies would fall out!

We had a super fantastic 1st Christmas with our daughter! It was filled with fun and laughter.
Thanks to our parents, families, relatives, and friends for all of the wonderful gifts and the abundance of love this Christmas season. We love you all!
